Handcrafted With Heart, Rooted in Dominican Tradition
Santia's Bakery began in the Dominican Republic in the early 1990s — handcrafted cakes, generational recipes, and a family's love of baking that was too good to stay in one city.
A Bakery Born in Baní
Santia Bello opened her bakery in downtown Baní in the early 1990s, where neighbors lined up for handcrafted cakes and pastries made from generations-old recipes.
Crossing the Ocean
When the family brought that tradition to Massachusetts, they brought everything with them — the same recipes, the same care, the same refusal to cut corners. Santia's wasn't going to become a different bakery just because it crossed an ocean.
The Food We Make
From oversized beef and chicken empanadas to pastelitos, alfajores, and fresh juices — every item is made by people who grew up with these recipes in their hands.
Made for Every Milestone
Custom cakes — beautifully decorated, ordered in advance — have always been our heart. The same spirit Santia brought to Baní lives in every celebration we bake today.
Two Homes in Massachusetts
Today Santia's anchors two communities — Jamaica Plain in Boston and Essex Street in Lawrence — warm spaces where staff greet you like family and keep you coming back.
